morning and hello.since i miss my brother so much, so i thought why don't i continue the story of my vacation.

so, our last day in Rome was a bit chaotic. huhu. we woke up late, it was almost 8 i guess. and for the first time in Rome, we took the metro bus from republica to ottaviano to save time. first thing first, I had been dying to go to Vatican Museum for years! Thanks to dan brown- angels and demons. haha. vatican museum was closed for two days for Christmas so today was our last chance. and for those who are weak in history, Vatican City is a country. hehe. so the moment we stepped into the area of the St. Peter's Church, we were in another country! yeah! ahah. that was fun. I took lotssss of pictures in front of the basilica. I have to make a complaint here, the christmas tree was blocking the very nice view of the basilica.the sun was rising, and the semi sfera shape at the piazza looked beautiful. I bet, even if it was sunset, it would still look beautiful. damn it, cantik la piazza depan st peter. benci benci benci. ok, back to my story. we arrived there and went into the church and tmpt tombs for all pope who have died. it was really something different for me. ye la, i am muslim and i went visiting popes yg da mati so for me it was something different, but a visit is still a visit, I went there just to look around. I saw people saying their prayer in front of the tomb, and songs were played at the same time. the not so good part was, the writing on the tomb is in italian. x paham pape dowh. u have to pay for a translator la if you want to understand all the stories pasal pope. one more thing you better arrive early if nk masuk as the line was damn long. me and my brother waited for i guess one hour to enter the basicila and the tombs. about the church plak. it's so big man. the interior is superb!magnifico!hehehe. after that, we went to the vatican museum. since it was our last day, we decided to pay for a tour guide. it cost us €45 each. a two-hour tour. it was worth it eventhough it didn't cover the whole museum. the guide said that it would take years to finish all the sculptures paintings etc. the best part of the tour mestila bile masuk sistine chapel. sumpah cantik wey!for those who havent seen the pictures, its all in my facebook ye. micheangelo yang lukis weyh. the last supper (harap maaf!abang saye kate last judgement!haish!suda silap.hehe) cantik sgt! i can't imagine how he could manage to paint all that. the colour combination sgt la smooth. he was really talented! we were running out of time actually.

then we headed back to republica. our train was supposed to be at 3 but we arrived at termini station at 3.10. and europe teramatla best. you can change the ticket to another time if you miss the train that you have bought. sgt la cool. but if you miss for the second time, you wil be penalized. i guess la. x ingat sgt. but i like the system so much la. cause you can never know. anything can happen, xde la kite nk suke2 tertinggal train right. so we changed the time to 4pm. 45 minutes left, so its lunch time! hehe. it was not cool to leave room. and i am very much sure i will come to rome again. haha. gle obsess seyh! and at that time, maps won't be needed anymore. haha. confident. so long rome!bye2

next station, florence!

yes!i'm in the mood to write.but sure this is not going to be a good one.no more happy times for now.for now laa.i'll be graduating soon.soon enough to think that i'm screwed.haiya.for those yg nk graduate this may or june or those who have graduated, have you ever thought of not doing something that you are supposed to do?i'm in the actuary field.and i believe that only 1 out of 1000 people je yg understand what or who is an actuary.let me explain it this way, actuary is a person who does all the calculations on pricing, reserving etc. pricing of what? insurance product. to create and price an insurance product is not as simple as creating a new whitening, cleansing product. you have to be very2 detail because the company's profit is in your hand. see? its crazy right? what is reserve? some amount put aside, then when obligation datang, means your policyholders is making a claim, pay! if reserve is insufficient, insurance company will be in GREAT LOSS, and that actuary will be ceased for sure. haha. pricing a new product sgt leceh. insurance companye has to make profit and at the same time the price must be affordable to the potential customers. mortality rate, expenses, etc must be correctly calculated. must make sure this product is marketable and profitable enough to be sold. all these are the job spesification for actuary. i have to play with numbers then interpret them in words that people can understand. mcm org ckp, we believe in numbers, numbers show everything.

however to be a qualified one, you have to undergo some papers depending on which association u intend to join be it US punye UK. US = 8 papers, UK = 13 papers. the first paper pun da x best probability!i get it la probability is very2 important to us to calculate the probability of people die survive surrender. second paper financial maths third paper multiple life contigencies blablabla. knowing the fact that quite a number of my seniors actuary graduate from overseas but x buat paper encourage me of not doing it. their answers would be 'malas nk blaja', 'xnk buat actuary da', 'susah'. haish. and according to statistics, we have 40 qualified actuary only in malaysia.haa, macam? out of millions of malaysians,only these 40 brilliant people. i once asked a qualified actuary of BNM, she finished her papers after 5 years. this is the clever one. well some took about 10years. and fyi, those qualified actuary ni the most common pay they receive, minimum monthly around 30k. that amount of money is very intriguing. but then again i think i can always find ways to get the exact same amount. kn kn? trying to be positive here. so since i was so confused yesterday, i gave hana a simple msg 'hana, i dont know whoelse i can to about my problem.if you're free, can u give me a call?'. 15 minutes later, my phone rang. thanx corporate woman! hehe. i feel a lottt better after talking to her. she gave me several options;

1) do papers just to finish what i have started. meaning, just for the sake of to be among the 40++ actuaries. no need to work as an actuary. (nk dapat name la konon hehe)
2) do papers and work as an actuary.
3) do not do papers and join any other department that i think i will like.

all these depend on where i work jugak. another worrying thing. so scared. there will be an engagement session for final sem students with HRM next week. they will give briefing on job prospect and interviews i guess. what if i dont get to work with petronas? where should i go? bank? working with petronas definitely not to be an actuary as they don't even have actuarial department. risk management maybe? if i don't dapat (minta dapat la), i'll work in a bank then continue actuary. well at least i have the basic la kan. not everyone can be an actuary. heh, yeah right! in Malaysia, most actuaries are chinese, malays cm seciput je. so best of luck classmates! ehhe

Ohhhh
I've been travellin' on this road too long
Just tryna find my way back home
The old me is dead and gone, dead and gone
And ohhhh
I've been travellin' on this road too long
Just tryna find my way back home
The old me is dead and gone, dead
and gone, dead and gone

I turn my head to the East
I don't see nobody by my side
I turn my head to the West
Still nobody in sight
So I turn my head to the North
Swallow that pill that they call pride
That old me is dead and gone
But that new me will be alright

the right song for now.
